This cake was a serious project. We had 4 weddings and a ton of cake last week and I get a call on Thursday night about doing this cake for Monday morning. I so wanted to say no but when it's something this cool I just can't pass it up. Melissa and i worked on Sunday to make the cupcakes, cut out the rhino and Phx Zoo logo and prep the cake and then I came in at the crack of dawn on Monday morning to finish the cake. It turned out so much better than I could have imagined. We were so pleased with it. It was for a final job interview process at the zoo and she got the job!!! Who knew that our cake would help someone get a job. That's why we do what we do. It makes people so happy.

I have made many cakes in my day starting when I was a kid making my own birthday cakes. I couldn't talk anyone into making me a fancy birthday cake so I decided to make my own. But these are just the cakes I have made in the last two years. It's amazing what you can learn from watching the Food Network!! Enjoy!
